Honey Grilled Chicken

Tender grilled chicken with a sticky-sweet, citrusy honey glaze and a touch of heat. This farm-fresh favorite is made with Wild Harvest Honey for depth, balance, and big flavor. Try it with Bourbon, Mango, Carolina Reaper, Cinnamon, or Wild Harvest Raw Honey for your perfect BBQ vibe.

Made with Wild Harvest Honey Farm’s Raw and Infused Honeys

YIELD: Makes 4 to 6 servings

🍊 Marinade Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs fresh chicken parts (legs, thighs, wings, breasts)

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp fresh ground pepper

  • Juice of 1 orange (zest reserved for basting sauce)

🍯 Basting Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup Wild Harvest Honey – try Bourbon, Mango, Carolina Reaper, Cinnamon, or Wild Harvest Raw Honey

  • 1/2 cup ketchup

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp hot chili sauce (adjust heat to taste)

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced (or 1 tsp ground ginger)

  • Zest of 1 orange

  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro, for garnish

🔥 Directions:

  1. Marinate: In a zip-top bag, toss chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, and orange juice. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.

  2. Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine all basting sauce ingredients (except cilantro). Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Reserve half the sauce for serving.

  3. Grill the Chicken: Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high. Oil the grates. Grill chicken ~5 minutes per side until browned.

  4. Baste one side with sauce, cook 2 minutes, flip and baste the other side. Continue grilling until internal temperature reaches 165°F and chicken is fully cooked.

  5. Serve: Drizzle with reserved sauce and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
