🔥 Baby Back Ribs with Chipotle Honey Barbecue Sauce

Made with Wild Harvest Honey Farm’s Raw and Infused Honeys

YIELD: Serves 4

🍯 For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup Wild Harvest Honey – recommended: Chipotle, Carolina Reaper, Bourbon, or Wild Harvest Raw Honey

  • 1 cup ketchup

  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce or tamari

  • 2 canned chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, chopped

  • 2 tbsp adobo sauce (from the chipotle can)

  • 2 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp fresh garlic, grated

  • 1 tsp coarse salt

🍖 For the Ribs:

  • 2 racks baby back ribs (about 2.5 lbs each), halved

  • Coarse salt

  • Fresh ground black pepper

🔥 Directions:

Make the Sauce:

  1. In a saucepan, combine ketchup, Wild Harvest Honey, vinegar, soy sauce, chipotles, adobo, chili powder, cumin, garlic, and salt.

  2. Simmer on medium-low for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool completely.

Marinate the Ribs:

  1. Season ribs with salt and pepper and rub in.

  2. Place ribs in a large resealable bag, pour in cooled sauce, and refrigerate for 4–24 hours, turning occasionally.

Bake the Ribs:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a roasting pan with foil and fit with a rack.

  2. Place ribs on the rack and reheat sauce in a saucepan over medium heat for 5 minutes.

  3. Brush ribs with sauce and roast for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting and turning every 20 minutes.

Finish Under the Broiler:

  1. When ribs are tender and pulling from the bone, preheat broiler to high.

  2. Brush ribs with more sauce and broil 2 minutes until bubbly and browned.

  3. Slice between bones, pile onto a platter, and serve with extra sauce (simmered an additional 3 minutes).
