About the event

Join us for our "Butterfly Release Blessing" event as we kick off the season! The event includes a free farm educational tour, where you can visit our Polly Nation Village in our Apiary, as you enjoy a complimentary "Flutterfizz" drink while celebrating the grand opening of several new beautiful flower gardens. As a token of appreciation, you will receive a gift bag from Wild Harvest with educational items and a few samples from our "Taste of Wild Harvest" line. During the tour, you can watch live bees in our observation hive and learn about the fascinating world of pollinators.

Here's the June 1st schedule:

Start your morning off right with an invigorating yoga session amidst nature's serene beauty. Led by Carmen, the owner of Main Street Yoga in Downtown Bloomington, this class costs $10 at the door. After the yoga class, the store will be open for honey tasting, shopping in our farm store, and the grand opening of our new Farmer's Pick Market!

The Butterfly Release will start at 10:30, and tickets are required to guarantee you have a butterfly. However, anyone is welcome to come watch and join us on our free farm tour, which will include our Apiary and three new gardens with some amazing new botanicals growing that I will be harvesting this fall and all of our amazing new seed collections that will be growing in our new you pick garden!

The butterfly is a symbol of growth and new beginnings, representing the transformative power that lies within us. When we trust our innate wisdom, we can overcome challenges and emerge stronger than before. We all possess this ability to guide ourselves through difficult times and achieve incredible feats.

Beekeeping has been a part of our family for over 100 years. Our goal here is to education the importance of bees for our survival.

Did you know one in every three bites of food depends on bees for pollination? That is why we have made it our mission to help our community repopulate and save the bees. Nearly one-third of all honeybees in the United States have died in the last few years. Scientists don’t know the exact cause, but a growing body of independent science links a class of pesticides to widespread bee die-offs, both alone and in combination with other factors like disease and malnutrition.

A wise man I once knew had a quote on his desk that read,

“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you can.”

John Wesley

Here at Wild Harvest we wanted to turn the land we grew up on and has been in our family for 3 generations and worked on by 5 generations into a bee sanctuary.  All the proceeds from our sales will go into furthering education to those who want to learn about bees, help create a sanctuary, and protect the bees.
